Jasper County EMS Welcomes Assistant Director

We are proud to announce the promotion of Paramedic Zach Merritt to the role of Assistant Director of Jasper County EMS.

Zach has been a dedicated member of our team and a strong leader within our organization. In his new role, he will continue serving our community on the ambulance while also taking on expanded responsibilities that are critical to the future of our service.

As Assistant Director, Zach will play a key role in:
• Supporting day-to-day operations
• Leading and advancing training and continuing education
• Building and developing our EMS training institution
• Overseeing fleet management and readiness

Zach’s passion for EMS, commitment to excellence, and investment in both our staff and community make him the right leader at the right time.

EMS service sees firsthand how important it is to recognize the signs, check blood sugar levels, and take action early. Something as simple as a quick test can help prevent serious complications down the road.

• Frequent urination
• Fatigue
• Blurred vision
• Slow healing wounds

Whether you’re on a call, at home, or just checking in on a loved one, a small step today can lead to a healthier tomorrow.
