We would like your help in congratulating two of parole’s outstanding staff for their dedication and excellence.👏🏽 🏆

Both of these agents manage specialized caseloads supervising individuals convicted of s*x offenses who are released onto parole supervision. This area of supervision requires specialized training, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to both accountability and public safety.

Bloomington Parole Agent II Shelly Adams-Brown was awarded the Lifetime SOMM Agent of the Year, recognizing her years of dedication and exceptional work in this specialized area of supervision.

Madison Parole Agent Leslie Humes was recently named the State of Indiana SOMM Agent of the Year, recognizing her outstanding work and commitment to effective supervision.

These recognitions are well deserved and reflect the professionalism and dedication both agents bring to the Division of Parole each day.

Today marks the completion of our three-week Parole Academy as 13 newly trained Parole Agents head back to their assigned districts and begin serving communities across Indiana.

Throughout the academy, they completed specialized training in areas including case management, youth supervision, s*x offender management, weapons, and scenario-based exercises designed to prepare them for the realities of the job.

Please join the Division of Parole Services in welcoming our newest Parole Agents! We congratulate each of you on this accomplishment and look forward to the positive impact you’ll make in the communities you serve. Congratulations, and best of luck as you begin this next chapter! 👏🏽

Our Parole Wellness Champs joined all IDOC Wellness Champions last Friday for a Team Training Day! During their time together, Wellness Champions whose work has gone above and beyond were recognized.

Parole is excited to share that our very own, Robin Ray received the Parole Wellness Spirit Award! This award recognizes the Parole Wellness Champion who fosters connection, empathy, and positivity across staff, helping build a supportive environment, where wellness feels meaningful.

Robin consistently brings creativity and enthusiasm to her role as a Parole Wellness Champion. In addition, she supports agency wide wellness initiatives, including su***de prevention walks, statewide raffles, and Mental Health Month events…to name a few.

Thank you Robin for your leadership, positivity, and support!

Congratulations to the 2026 Spring cohort of the Indiana Department of Correction Leadership Academy. All of the graduates put in tremendous effort and presented their capstone projects today before their graduation ceremony.

The IDOC Leadership Academy focuses on developing leadership skills through self-awareness, personal accountability, initiative, positive attitude, communication, and team building.

A HUGE shoutout to Parole’s very own, Brian Gentry who was among today’s graduates. Way to go Gentry! We see you!👏🏽

Parole’s Robin Ray, a previous Leadership graduate returned to serve as a team advisor for this cohort. Thank you for investing in the next generation of leaders and sharing your knowledge and experience!👏🏽

Congratulations to all those who recently completed IDOC’s Executive Leadership Program! 🎉

Participants spent a week learning about the many divisions that make up the Indiana Department of Correction while gaining valuable insight and experience to prepare them for future leadership opportunities. The goal of the program is to develop and prepare participants for organizational leadership roles across the agency.

A special shout-out to Bobby Yarborough and Chris Tanis, who were among the graduates of the most recent class!

What a turn out! Parole participated in the 5th Annual IDOC Re-Entry Community Partnership Resource Fair during this week’s Case Management Conference. Community Partner Fairs are a great way to network and learn more about the diverse agencies to better assist those individuals returning to our communities.

The Peer Leadership Program is the only program offered to individuals who are not yet supervisors but are demonstrating strong potential to grow into leadership roles. Best of luck to each of you as you continue your journey toward becoming future leaders within the Indiana Department of Correction!

A special shoutout to Kristin Woods and Eduardo Tobon for stepping up as the first Peer Leadership Program Peer Coaches. This newly created role supports participants in developing their leadership skills throughout the week and helps facilitate key portions of the program, an incredible contribution to the success of this initiative—way to step up and lead the way! ✨👏🏽

Today we sent 7 newly trained Parole Agents back to the districts they work, as today wrapped up our 3 week Parole Academy. Each will be heading into the communities they’ll serve, ready to make a difference, keeping communities safer and helping individuals succeed.

Over the last 3 weeks they’ve learned a lot, completing parole specific training covering topics ranging from case management, youth supervision, s*x offender management, weapons, and scenario based training.

Please join the Parole Division in congratulating Zach Zimmerman on his recent promotion to District Supervisor of the South Bend Parole District! 👏

Zach began his career with the State of Indiana in 2005, serving across several agencies before dedicating more than a decade to the Indiana Department of Correction. Throughout his career, he has progressed from Parole Officer to Assistant District Supervisor, and now to District Supervisor — a true testament to his leadership and commitment to the mission.

With 20 years of experience in public safety, Zach has built a reputation as a dedicated leader focused on operational excellence, staff development, and making a positive impact in the community.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and pets, finding balance between his professional responsibilities and personal life.

Congratulations, Zach Zimmerman! The South Bend Parole District is fortunate to have your leadership, and we look forward to your continued success. 🎉
