The Mid-States Minority Supplier Development Council (Mid-States MSDC) , an affiliate of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), is a free standing minority supplier development council and one of 24 regional councils operating in the United States. The Mid-States MSDC was created by the Indianapolis business community in the mid '70s to address and support minority business de

velopment. Through the dedication and continuing support of its original founders, the Indiana Regional Purchasing Council (IRPC) as it was initially named, became the Indiana Regional Minority Purchasing Council (IRMPC), followed by the Indiana Regional Minority Supplier Development Council (IRMSDC), the Indiana Business Diversity Council (IBDC), Indiana Minority Supplier Development Council (IMSDC) and finally the Mid-States Minority Supplier Development Council (Mid-States MSDC) - a name that reflects he expanded service area of Central Illinois, Indiana and Eastern Missouri. The successive name changes reflect the increasing scope of programs and services made available to the minority business community. The Mid-States MSDC is supported by corporate membership dues, contributions, and by funding from the NMSDC.

As we unveil the Mid-States Minority Supplier Development Council’s 50th Anniversary logo, we are proud to celebrate five decades of advancing minority business growth and economic opportunity. This milestone reflects the collective impact of our certified MBEs, corporate partners, board leaders, and staff who have shaped our work since 1976.

As Mid-States MSDC has grown, new regions have joined our footprint at different points in time. Central Illinois and Eastern Missouri represent important chapters in our 50-year story, expanding our reach and strengthening the impact we deliver across the region today. Each community has contributed to the relationships, results, and progress that define Mid-States MSDC.

As we commemorate this anniversary, we honor our history while continuing to build pathways for the future of minority business development.
