Jake Teshka promised to be an independent voice in Indianapolis, unfortunately one of his first acts in the Statehouse is purely partisan. This bill, HB 1453, would take power away from St. Joseph County and give more power to the Governor in Indianapolis.

St. Joseph County is one of only four in the State of Indiana where superior court judges are appointed instead of elected. Now the appointment process itself has been targeted for an overhaul.

Today the Indiana Secretary of State made it possible to request and absentee ballot online. However, as of right now no excuse absentee and online absentee ballot requests are only for the June 2nd Primary.
