2026 graduate, Kachelle, recently passed her RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) exam and recieved her RBT certification! She works at Hopebridge Autism Therapy Center, helping autistic kids with developmental and life skills. Her education path isn't done yet, though! In October, she's starting a criminal justice program at Ivy Tech.

Congratulations on your certification, and we look forward to seeing your next graduation, Kachelle!

Zachary Jones graduated from Christel House DORS in 2025 and is planning on enrolling in a Culinary Arts program to become a chef, and hopefully open his own restaurant one day. He also has an interest in music, and is learning to play the piano.

The keys to Zachary's success and determination are: 1. To not get stuck in the past, but to remain in the present, and be patient for the future, and 2. His faith. He was diagnosed with cancer as a teenager, and faced a really tough time in my life but says, "Thanks to God, I met people over the years the were very inspirational and helped me with the depression that came from that time. Good luck to you all, remember you got this, 'It’s just a bad day, not a bad life.'"

It's College Go Week, and we're celebrating our DORS graduates and the paths they're currently pursuing!

Kyeesha graduated from DORS Northwest in 2025, and attended Lincoln School of Technology to earn her certification in medical assisting. She chose this field because of her experience with family members and her desire to see all patients receive the proper care for their medical needs.

Congratulations, Kyeesha! And thank you for sharing your story with us!

Ready to learn real‑world skills? 🚗
Teens ages 14–19 can join our Do It Yourself Vehicle Maintenance 2‑day course at Krannert Park! Learn how to change oil, replace transmission fluid, change a tire, and plug a flat. All tools are provided—just bring yourself and be ready to get hands‑on!
Dates:
• Day 1 – October 17, 12pm–1:30pm
• Day 2 – October 24, 12pm–1:30pm
Cost: $15 total for both sessions

We had our largest graduating class EVER on Friday, with 220 DORS graduates!! It was a beautiful evening celebrating all of their accomplishments and thinking about what's to come for each of them!
