Named for its original owners, it was originally built for, and from c.1890-1910 the home of a family of incredibly talented artists, the Gruelle family. Its history all but forgotten, and having long fa

llen into disrepair, the Gruelle Family House is currently undergoing major repair, and restoration work. The current owner purchased the home not knowing its historic value and now seeks to improve its condition in order to save it from demolition while under compliance to building codes by the City of Indianapolis Dept. of Code Enforcement

The Gruelle Family House is entirely privately funded. We do not accept monies generated by taxes- federal, state or local, and are not issued grants of any kind. We gladly accept donations in order to continue the restoration effort. CONTACT:
