EEK!!! The Benton House Used Book Sale is TOMORROW, people!! TOMORROW!!

The sale starts 5pm, tomorrow, July 17th, then goes through until 2 pm on the 19th.

If you've driven by the house, you might have noticed our Book Sale tent isn't in its usual location.

We've moved it due to a safety concern: a dead limb hanging over the parking lot. Our arborist friends advised us to clear the tent from that risk, which unfortunately means we have even fewer parking spots available in the lot.

For the book sale this weekend, please plan to use street parking. We kindly ask that you reserve the limited on-site spaces for handicap parking. Thanks for your understanding!

Tomorrow is the BOOK BRIGADE! Join us at 6:30pm to move the books from the basement to the tent and then enjoy some delicious food from Lincoln Square Pancake House - Irvington

"Why should I be on the Tour of Homes?"

This interaction just happened:
"OMG, I work with someone whose grandparents lived in your house!"

**I pull out the home history that was complementarily created for me when my home was on the tour**

"Was it the ###X family?"

"YES!"

So, even 12 & 2 years later (my house was on 2X), I am still making connections - and slightly creeping the guy out since I knew his grandparent's names as well as those of his dad and sibblings.

We are now making arrangements for his grandma, the former inhabitant of our home, to come for a visit. I cannot wait to ask them some questions and to see if they approve of the changes I made... I think they will
