173 healthcare workers were asked about their lead aprons.
78% said they'd worn one that was visibly soiled.
48% admitted they'd never spot cleaned theirs.
27% worked in departments where aprons were never cleaned at all.
This wasn't a fringe study. These were practicing clinicians, people who know what infection control means, describing their actual reality.
The problem isn't awareness. It's infrastructure.
Nobody handed them a system that made proper apron hygiene easy, trackable, or anyone's job.
That's the gap RCS closes.
