Story Time: A Journey of Faith and Brotherhood
A year ago, I stood on the mountaintop in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. When I came back down into the valley, the challenges I left behind were waiting for me. Spiritual warfare is real, but I’ve learned that when you’re under attack, the only way to fight back is through prayer, perseverance, and faith.
At one of the lowest points in my life, when my oldest child ran away, I made a decision: no matter how broken I felt, I would still show up for myself. Every event, appointment, or opportunity that had my name on it, I was going to be there. And every time I showed up, God surprised me with blessings.
One of those blessings came in the form of my brother Ethan. Our meeting was nothing short of divine. I went to buy a book from Tracy Palmer, which led me to Donovan Green, then to Jamar Wright, and finally to Ethan. That day, Ethan showed me what true vulnerability and devotion to God looked like.
In the middle of his presentation, he fell to his knees, prayed with passion and humility, and then resumed speaking. It was a moment that changed my life. I knew then that this was a man I would follow anywhere.
Later, as I poured out my heart in his office, Ethan smiled, prayed with me, and anointed my head with oil. That was the start of a brotherhood that has blessed me beyond words. He calls me “one of the difference,” and I call him the same.
Today, as we sat down for lunch, I reflected on how God has answered my prayer, not by surrounding me with just people, but by sending His people.
If you’re going through a storm, I encourage you to ask God to send His community to help you build His kingdom. Surround yourself with those who inspire, uplift, and push you closer to Him.
And no matter what you face, remember to show up for yourself and Win Each Moment!
