Today we pause to remember the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001. We honor the first responders who ran toward danger without hesitation, the families who carry that grief every single day, and a nation that came together in one of its darkest moments.

On this Patriot Day, Marion County Young Democrats stands in solidarity with all who were affected by the events of that day. May we never forget, and may we always choose unity over division.

We are standing behind Coumba Kebe for Indiana Treasurer of State, Jessica Bailey for Indiana Comptroller of State, and Beau Bayh for Indiana Secretary of State. These three candidates represent the kind of honest, accountable leadership Hoosiers deserve and we are fired up to support them all the way to November 3rd.

Now here is your reminder to check your voter registration! Make sure you are registered, your address is up to date, and you are ready to show up this fall. Indiana voters can check their registration at indianavoters.in.gov.

Today we celebrate Juneteenth, a day that reminds us freedom is not just proclaimed but fought for, claimed, and protected. On June 19, 1865, enslaved people in Galveston, Texas finally heard the news that had been kept from them for more than two years. That delay is a lesson we carry with us still: liberation is only real when it reaches everyone.

Happy Juneteenth from Marion County Young Democrats. We honor this day by recommitting ourselves to the work of building a Marion County where true freedom and justice are felt by all. 🖤❤️💚
