8TH ANNUAL “EVENING IN INDIANOLA” SET FOR THURSDAY OCTOBER 8, 2026 (ATTACHMENTS)
The 8th Annual “Evening in Indianola”, an evening dinner/reception, entertainment/program benefitting the Indianola Community and Senior Citizens Center along with the Choate Prairie and Indianola Cemeteries has been scheduled for Thursday, October 8, 2026 beginning with a 6:00 p.m. dinner/ reception at the Indianola School Auditorium.
This year’s special program is entitled “Our LOCAL IDEAL AMERICAN DOUGHBOY.” Honoring Otis W. Leader & World War 1 Service.
Oklahoma Book Award Winner Sarah Sawyer will share the heroic and fascinating life of Otis Leader. At one time Otis was a resident of Scipio, Oklahoma. The program will include some other special guest and activities including the Circuit Riders Band.
The “Evening in Indianola” is an annual benefit supporting the work of the Indianola Community and Senior Citizens Center and the Choate Prairie and Indianola Cemeteries. There is a $10 per person admission fee ($5.00 5-11 years) for the evening program. In addition, there will the opportunity for on-site “annual giving” for the three charitable organizations.
