Reagan Bradshaw interned with Mercy CardioPulmonary Rehab Des Moines this semester!

"One goal that I have had is to integrate exercise as medicine in the healthcare field. Society needs more education and emphasis on exercise, diet, and an overall healthier lifestyle. When we go to the doctor for pain or illness, there is always a referral whether it be to a specialist or medicine. Physicians have very little knowledge about exercise and diet, and tend to prescribe both as “get more” without giving patients a true referral. In the future, I hope to use my platform as a Physician’s Assistant to prescribe, encourage, and refer my patients with exercise, and I will use my exercise science background to help achieve this goal."
