CDC provided an update to the COVID-19 vaccine recommendations this week. Here are the highlights:
• The interval between completing the primary series (dose 1 & 2) and booster dose has been shortened to 5 months for Pfizer recipients.
• Children ages 5-11 that are moderately or severely immunocompromised should receive an additional primary dose 28 days after their second shot. Pfizer is the only vaccine available for this age group at this time.
