If you had to ask us how to be more chic, these would be a few of our recommendations 💅😉

🌿 Leave No Trace - Take only memories and leave only footprints. Pack out whatever you pack in!

🥾 Explore your local parks & trails - Get outside and discover all the natural spaces right in your community!

✨ Appreciate our natural world - Slow down when you’re in our parks and take a deep breath. Let your curiosity flow, soak in your surroundings, and give yourself a chance to leave your worries behind.

🦫 Respect Wildlife - Admire wildlife from a distance and never feed or approach wild animals.

🦋Support your local conservation board - Visit your local parks, participate in programs, and volunteer! (And like this post😉)

Grab your family or friends - or both - and head out to this served meal overlooking the beautiful scenery. Enjoy live music, great conversation, a meal and non-alcoholic drinks in our Middleswart Lodge. Want to bring along your favorite wine or beer to compliment your meal? That's okay too!

Tickets go on sale on Monday, August 24th! Seating is limited and reservations are required, so do your planning now!

Plan accordingly! Due to the amount of rain we have received, many of our parks currently have standing water and muddy conditions. Some trails, parking lots, and low-lying areas may be difficult to navigate or temporarily closed.☔

If you’re planning to visit one of our parks, please use caution, stay out of flooded areas, and be prepared for changing conditions. Never attempt to drive or walk through water covering a parking lot or trail.

Thank you for helping us keep our parks safe and protecting the trails during these wet conditions! 🌧️🌲

🌞The final story walk of the summer is here 🌻📖

Before the summer sun sets on the season, take a relaxing stroll along the trail at the Annette Nature Center for our last story walk.

This month wander page by page along the trail through the beautiful book, My Peaceful Place by Natalie Nordlund. It's a beautiful book geared toward children that helps teach mindfulness and emotional regulation. 🧘🏼‍♀️

Bring your little readers, take a deep breath, and find your peaceful place with us before summer slips away. 🌳💚

📍Location: The trail near the Middleswart Lodge, 15876 118th Ave., Indianola, IA 50125

A hard day’s work calls for some well-earned fair food! 🌭🍔

Our Conservation maintenance crew took a well-deserved break from keeping our parks, trails, and public areas in tip-top shape to grab lunch at the Warren County Fair today.

A huge thank you to our crew for everything they do behind the scenes to keep our outdoor spaces safe, clean, and beautiful for everyone. 🌳🛠️

If you're at the fair swing by the Lester building to visit Mallory and check out the plans for the new Nature Playscape in the works!
