We love visiting community schools throughout the school year. We hope we see every one of these kids this summer at the library!

We cannot thank Ms. Kelsey enough for coming to read to our Pre-K and Kindergarteners each month!

The Indianola Public Library is one of the best resources in town! They have an amazing selection of book and more to offer! So many online options, events, library of things (like an ice cream machine, outdoor games, and more you can check out), movies, games, puzzles, and SO MUCH MORE!

We encourage you to go tomorrow to their summer kick-off or after to get your kiddo signed up for their Summer Reading Challenge where your kiddos can win prizes!

A day in the life of an IPL book... We got a little surprise email from a friendly stranger from afar this morning: "Hello, Thought you’d like to know that The 20th Victim by James Patterson is at the Hotel Napoléon, Paris France. - Kind regards." 😮😃🥹 Thank you kind stranger. This made our week! *For those who are wondering: it's "The 20th Victim" by James Patterson. Don't worry, we still have another copy of this book available. Jimmy P. always needs more than one copy for initial releases, but we w**d (library term for taking an item out of the library system) the extras when the demand drops. He already takes up a lot of shelf space. We need shelves for the other authors of the world, Mr. P!

The City of Indianola on Tuesday, February 10, rolled out a new look for its official website – www.indianolaiowa.gov – built to make accessing City information easier, faster and more user-friendly across multiple devices.

The Indianola Public Library also received a revamped design, aligning with the City’s overall digital framework to create a consistent and seamless online experience for all users.

"Our goal was to create a refreshed design that serves the community effectively while meeting the updated web content accessibility regulations required for local governments," said Communications Manager Aaron Young. "The process centered on listening to feedback from stakeholders and analyzing the many uses of the City’s website by different audience types. From there, our internal team, guided by the expertise of CivicPlus, worked diligently to deliver a cleaner, more modern design that simplifies navigation and makes information and services readily available."
