There's still time to register for this summer's upcoming Chess Tournament! Everybody will play all rounds, and prizes will be awarded to the top players.

Open to students K-12. All participants need to know the rules of chess, but no prior tournament experience is necessary.

There's still plenty of time to get your reading done for rewards and prizes! Through July 31st, you can earn rewards after reading at least 20 minutes every day for 28 days or reading 8 books for older kids and adults. Young kids get shoe charms and kids who have finished 4th grade through adult receive scratch tickets/raffle tickets at certain points throughout the summer as well as attending library events and more! Raffle prize winners will be drawn and contacted the first week in August.

Families of ! We've got your back... 😎

Your kid comes home from school raving about how earthquakes work and now wants to make one happen at home by stacking allllll of the blocks in the house and shaking your already wobbly coffee table. Then, you remember: the library has a STEM Kit that recreates an earthquake AND lets your kid stack allllll of the blocks, but with no harm done to your favorite wobbly find. You come back from the library not only with the earthquake kit in hand, but also not one, but TWO I Survived an Earthquake books, the latest Diary of a Wimpy Kid book (again), and a Music Cats puzzle featuring Freddie Purrcury and The Notoirous C.A.T. the whole family can do together tonight after dinner.

The library will be closed Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. We will resume our regular hours on Monday, July 6 at 10 a.m.
