NWS Weather Alert: Special Weather Statement issued May 28 at 3:42AM EDT by NWS Jackson KY

Much drier air moving in atop lingering moist air at the ground is
resulting in the formation of areas of dense fog. Visibility will
be reduced to a quarter mile or less in some locations at times
early this morning.

Be prepared for sudden changes in visibility if you will be
driving early this morning. If you encounter dense fog, slow
down, use your low beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance
ahead of you.

NWS Weather Alert: Special Weather Statement issued May 25 at 6:05AM EDT by NWS Jackson KY

Thinning clouds, light winds, and ample low-level moisture are
helping areas of fog to develop and become locally dense early
this morning. This fog will likely remain the densest closer to
the Mountain Parkway and points north. Visibilities will be below
a quarter of a mile, at times, in the thickest of the fog. Be
sure to slow down and use your low beam headlights when you
encounter any fog.
