Dear Resident,
Republic Services, the City’s garbage contractor, collects both brush and bulk items together on a quarterly basis for single-family residential customers. The collection schedule for the remainder of 2026 is as follows:
July 20th-July 24th – Pickup week for Zones 1 & 2
July 27th-July 31st – Pickup week for Zones 3 & 4
October 19th-October 23rd – Pickup week for Zones 1 & 2
October 26th-October 30th – Pickup week for Zones 3 & 4
All yard waste (tree trimmings, branches, palms) and bulky items must be placed at curbside up to seven (7) days prior, but no later than 7 am on the first day of pick-up by zone or you may be in violation of the City’s ordinance.
The following procedures must be followed for brush and bulk waste pickup:
Bulky items such as TVs over 32 inches, computers, tires, paint, and any hazardous household items will not be picked up and are the responsibility of the resident to safely discard.
Light Construction debris is not acceptable with bulky waste. Items include fence pickets, PVC, 2X4, 4X4, sheet rock, framing, concrete, and flooring.
If you miss the time of the pick-up and place the brush and bulky out the same day, Republic will not be able to return once they make a pass.
Republic is contracted to only pick-up 12 cubic yards worth of brush & bulky items per quarter, per resident.
(Any additional amount may be collected, but could prevent a future collection if it exceeds the annual maximum yardage.)
All bulky yard waste/brush must be on your property near the curb in front of your home and away from power lines, telephone poles, meters, vehicles, trees, and fences.
Branches must be less than 6 feet in length and 6 inches in diameter. Tree trunks must be cut up into no more than 2 feet in length/diameter sections.
If you have a vehicle, whether it is yours or a visitor’s near the brush/bulk waste at the time of pick-up, Republic will not be able to remove it.
Vacant lots next to or near your home are not to be dumping grounds for this yard waste/bulky items and is prohibited. Any violation of this will be subject to fines and enforced by the City.
Brush/bulk waste will not be picked up if trash bags or other debris is mixed in with it.
All household/bagged yard waste must be in plastic bags and placed in your Cart for pickup on your regular collection day. No household/bagged yard waste (leaves or trash as well) will be collected at the curb.
If you have an exception to any of the above requirements, call the City of Ingleside Code Enforcement Office at (361) 776-7687 at least 14 days prior to beginning of your service week.

Ingleside Bulky Waste
The following items are listed under acceptable and unacceptable for residential curbside collection by Republic Services:
Acceptable Items:
Furniture: Sofas, chairs, beds, mattresses, fixtures, dressers, and carpet
Appliances: Stoves, dishwashers, microwaves, washer, dryers, refrigerators (Freon must be removed by a licensed technician and tagged)
Miscellaneous Items: Rubber made containers, BBQ Pits (Propane tank removed), gym equipment, tools, shelving, commodes, etc.
Unacceptable Items:
Construction Debris: PVC, rebar, flooring, sheet rock, wood (2X4/4X4, etc.), roofing debris, plywood, and concrete/masonry
**Residents should contact Republic Services directly at 361-698-5028 to order a roll-off container for remodeling
Miscellaneous Items:
Boxes (Should be broken down and placed in waste cart)
Televisions over 32 inches are not permitted
Tires
Paint
Household garbage in trash bags
Hazardous chemicals (Insecticides, pesticides, pool chemicals, etc.)
Motor, cooking oil
Alternative Option for Brush and Bulk Waste Disposal
Please DO NOT set out brush and/or bulk outside your setout week or you may be in violation of the City’s ordinance. You may take your brush and bulk to the recently opened Citizens Convenience Station located within the Recycling Center at 1580 Fourth Street in Ingleside. They will operate the same hours as the Recycling Center which are Tuesday and Thursday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., closed for lunch, and Saturday 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Please note that only residential customers who pay the City of Ingleside for single-family residential trash service will be allowed to dispose of brush and bulk waste. Identification (I.D.) along with a current City of Ingleside bill reflecting single-family residential garbage will be accepted. Both the address on the bill and I.D. must match and the I.D. holder must be in the vehicle.
