TextMyGov Announcement

The City of Inkom is pleased to announce the launch of TextMyGov, a simple communication tool that allows residents to receive important updates and access information anywhere using texting technology. This new government SMS service makes it easier than ever for the community to stay informed through a reliable text message from government officials.

The City will officially launch this mass text notification system on 10/1/2026! Residents may receive an initial government text message from 91896 on behalf of the City to introduce the service. Participation is optional, and anyone may opt out at any time by texting STOP.

If you do not receive the initial message, you can sign up by texting the keyword “INKOM” to 91896. After sending the keyword, you will be asked to reply YES to confirm participation. Once subscribed, residents may receive government text messages related to events, important updates, emergency information, weather text alerts and more. Additional text message alerts may become available by texting a specific group keyword to 91896. If there are specific types of updates you would like to receive, please inform the City.

The City’s adoption of TextMyGov reflects an ongoing commitment to improving public communication using modern and convenient tools. This service will provide a more accessible and responsive way to stay informed about what is going on in the community and receive government services. Many agencies nationwide are already using this texting technology successfully, and we are proud to offer the same benefits to our community.

The board at Hellmandollar Park says that the Old Hwy. will be open on the 24th and that Rapid Creek will be closed on the 25th!

I-15 Exit 57 westbound off-ramp closure in Inkom for ongoing construction

The Idaho Transportation Department will close the westbound off-ramp at Interstate 15 Exit 57 in Inkom for extensive ramp and roadway construction.

A detour will be in place from July 6 through Aug. 5. Northbound drivers will use Exit 47 in McCammon and then take Old Highway 91 to North Inkom, West Jackson Creek and North Rapid Creek Roads to reach Inkom.
