WE HAVE A WATER LEAK ON FESCUE Drive. All ODD number houses on Fescue Drive will have their water shut off in order to fix the leak.

⚠️ Possible Mountain Lion Sighting ⚠️

The City has received a report of a possible mountain lion sighting in the area of the Motocross & Country Park.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to use extra caution in and around the area.

Google indicates that if you encounter a mountain lion:

Do not approach it or run.
Give the animal plenty of space.
Keep children and pets close.
Make yourself appear larger and slowly back away.
Report the sighting to the appropriate local authorities.

At this time, this is a reported possible sighting and has not been confirmed. We are sharing this information so residents can remain aware and use appropriate caution while enjoying the area.

Remember when we asked a week or two ago for people to conserve water?
The reason why is because we are blowing through our milestones.

Not only have we surpassed the limit for August already, we have surpassed the limit for SEPTEMBER!

PLEASE reduce your water usage!

The city is given set amounts of water for each month. Up until about mid-July, we were well under our allotted amount. Now we have used our allotment for August and September.

We have a leak in one of our six inch transmission lines, so we have one line down. We don’t have an estimated repair date yet.
In order to help the city and your fellow residents:

Please reduce your water use to conserve water.

Reducing water use helps lessen demand on the system while crews work to restore service and maintain adequate water pressure throughout the community.
If possible, please:
❗️Delay laundry and dishwashing until later.
❗️Limit outdoor watering.
❗️Take shorter showers and avoid unnecessary water use.
❗️Turn off faucets when not in use.

There have been reports of a subject going door to door claiming to be with Direct TV and wanting to come inside your house to look at equipment.

THIS IS A SCAM. Do not let any stranger in your house without legit credentials or prior arrangement through the company itself.

If anyone approaches you, please make a note of the person and the vehicle description, and contact the Inman dispatch number at 620-585-2108. If you have a Ring doorbell, please take pictures of the person and the vehicle if possible.

Starting TOMORROW, July 15, 2026, 9th Avenue will be closed from Cherokee to the first entrance to the Country Park for NINE DAYS, for road maintenance.
