Inman City Fire Department

Inman City Fire Department The Fire Department has 3 Pumpers, 1 Aerial, 1 Brush truck and 2 administrative vehicles. We have 17 members on the roster who are mostly volunteer.

The Fire Department has a part-time program that staffs the city 24/7. The Inman Fire Department has been in operation since the late 1800s but was formally chartered in 1926. Back then, a group of volunteers were responsible for providing fire protection for the citizens of Inman. After 1926, the Fire Department started to purchase used fire trucks and piece them together to provide fire protecti

on. The Fire Department purchased its first, new truck in 1946. Today, firefighters must take over 250 hours of training to become certified. Plus, the training never stops with advanced fire technology.

We're collecting pencils, highlighters, and packs of paper at Inman City Hall to help local students start the school year strong.

The losing department gets pie'd, so help us fill the donation bins, make a difference, and decide whether Chief Tucker or Chief Pearson takes a pie to the face.đź‘€
