One of ours rang the bell today even though she hasn’t been with us long she is still family and she is well known through Spartanburg and Cherokee counties. Congratulations Lashae. We love you.

In remembrance of the original founding Fire Chief of the Inman Community Fire Department, a man whose vision, courage, and dedication built more than a department — he built a legacy.

Twenty-five years of service is more than a number. It represents late nights, early mornings, missed holidays, answered alarms, and countless lives touched. From the very beginning, he laid the foundation for what the Inman Community Fire Department stands for today: integrity, commitment, brotherhood, and unwavering service to the community.

As the founding Chief, he didn’t just lead — he inspired. He trained generations of firefighters, set standards of excellence, and showed by example what it truly means to serve. His steady presence brought comfort in times of crisis and strength in moments of uncertainty. Because of his leadership, our community was safer, stronger, and better prepared.

His legacy lives on in every call answered, every life saved, and every firefighter who continues the mission he started 46 years ago. The department he built stands as a testament to his dedication and heart for Inman.

We are forever grateful for his service, his sacrifice, and his vision. Rest easy, Chief. Your watch may have ended, but your impact will never fade. 🚒🔥

Winter days mean more time indoors, which makes kitchen safety extra important.

Sparky says to stay at least 3 feet away from the stove and always keep hot items away from little hands. A grown-up should decide when it’s safe to use the microwave.

It is with heavy hearts that the Inman Community Fire Department announces the passing of our founding Chief, Barney Seigler, on February 17.
Chief Seigler was instrumental in establishing our department and building the foundation that continues to serve our community today. Through his leadership, dedication, and vision, he helped shape what the Inman Community Fire Department stands for — service, integrity, and commitment to our citizens.
Chief Seigler faithfully served the Inman Community until 2005, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism, mentorship, and community pride that still lives on within our ranks.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Seigler family and all who knew and loved him. We are forever grateful for his service and the lasting impact he made on this department and our community.
Rest easy, Chief. Your watch is complete.

The Inman Community Fire Department is pleased to announce that Santa will revisit our response area on December 24. His tour will begin in the northwest section of our district in Gramling and conclude in the southeast parts. As Inman continues to grow, the event may run past 2 PM. Furthermore, significant emergency calls may impact the event's duration. We look forward to welcoming Santa to your streets this Christmas Eve.
