Band of Brothers Outdoors has an awesome lineup of fall events coming up, and we’re looking for Veterans to apply! 🎣🦆

Whether you enjoy fishing, hunting, or simply getting outdoors and spending time with fellow Veterans, we have several opportunities coming up across Minnesota, Wisconsin, and North Dakota.

This event will feature THREE different groups, including one group reserved exclusively for FEMALE VETERANS!

Our events are about much more than hunting and fishing. They're about getting Veterans outdoors, building friendships, sharing stories, and enjoying the camaraderie that comes from spending time with others who understand.

Band of Brothers Outdoors is excited to announce our Leech Lake Veteran Fishing Event in Walker, Minnesota, hosted in partnership with Spirit of the North Resort!

Join us September 11–13, 2026, for an unforgettable weekend on one of Minnesota's premier fishing destinations. Veterans will enjoy world-class fishing, outstanding meals, comfortable lodging, and the opportunity to spend time with fellow veterans who share a common bond.

Whether you're chasing walleyes, swapping stories around the dinner table, or simply enjoying a few days away, this event is about more than fishing—it's about camaraderie, healing, and making lasting memories.

Event Details:
🎣 Dates: September 11–13, 2026
📍 Location: Walker, MN
🏡 Hosted in partnership with: Spirit of the North Resort

Band of Brothers Outdoors will provide:
✅ Lodging
✅ All Meals
✅ Volunteer Guided Fishing Opportunities

Veterans are responsible for:
• Transportation to and from the event
• A valid Minnesota fishing license

If you and another veteran would like to attend together, be sure to include their name in the "Anything else we should know?" section of your application. While we can't guarantee both applicants will be selected, we'll do our best to accommodate requests.

Roger Up Women and Shield of Sisters are proud to partner for the Women's Appreciation Riverboat Cruise, an evening dedicated to honoring the strength, service, and sacrifice of Women Veterans and First Responders. You spend so much of your life showing up for others. This evening is all about celebrating you!

Join us aboard Stillwater River Boats for dinner, drinks, beautiful views of the St. Croix River, and the chance to connect with an incredible community of women who understand the unique experience of service.

Voyageur Country ATV Club hosted a veteran ATV ride today, leaving from the Sheep Ranch Road, stopping to visit view the Military Crossroads Veteran Memorial and Frontline Pavilion, and then on to Melgeorge’s for lunch and back. It was a beautiful day for a ride and everyone enjoyed viewing the memorial, photo opportunities, and taking time to visit with one another, all in honor of our area veterans, some coming from as far as the metro area. A big thank you to John Harris and the Voyageur Country ATV club for organizing the ride, to Jim Johnson - Elephant and Blackduck Lake Association for sponsoring lunch for all veterans and auxiliary members attending, and also to Melgeorge’s for going above and beyond to provide excellent service and delicious meals to everyone on the ride. The ride was a success and plans are already in the making to make this an annual event! Thank you to all who attended, and to those who provided your side by side to ensure all of the veterans had a rig to ride in.
