Yesterday, our team kicked off the “-ber” months with one of our favorite annual traditions: our Officewide Tailgate!

From proudly repping our favorite teams (with a little friendly rivalry, of course 😉) to sharing good food and even better company, it was a great opportunity to step away from our desks, connect with one another, and welcome the start of fall together.

No matter which team we cheer for or how we take our pumpkin spice lattes, hot or iced, we’re always proud to be on the same team serving Citrus County! ☕

If you were summoned for Jury Pool #652, scheduled for Tuesday, September 8th, 2026, and your Juror ID number is 1-300, your service is still required. Please report to the 1st floor of the Citrus County Courthouse. Check in will begin promptly at 7:30 am.

Juror ID numbers 301-400 have been called off and do not need to report.

When reporting for jury duty, please bring your jury summons with the back of it filled out. You may wish to bring a jacket or sweater as courtrooms are often set to a cooler temperature. Due to the uncertainty of a lunch period, consider bringing a non-perishable lunch or snack.

For an interpreter visit www.circuit5.org/programs-services/interpreting-services/ and complete a request form at lease 7 days before your scheduled court appearance, or immediately on receiving this notification if the time before the scheduled appearance is less than 7 days.

The first annual Family Resource Center Hunger Games begins today!

Our office is proud to represent District 3 along with Citrus County Community Services and the Citrus County Tax Collector!

The Citrus County Hunger Games is a friendly community-wide competition where businesses, schools, churches, nonprofits, healthcare organizations, government agencies, and more compete to see who can collect the most food and funds for local children facing hunger.

Here’s how it works:
Every food item collected = 1 meal point
Every $1 donated = 2 meal points (Financial contributions allow the Family Resource Center to purchase food and supplies at discounted rates through their partnerships, making each dollar stretch as far as possible)

To assist District 3 in our pursuit to end hunger in Citrus County, please scan the QR code to donate. All donations go directly to the Family Resource Center!

A boil water notice will be in effect for the Citrus County Courthouse beginning Saturday, August 29, at 9:30 a.m. and is expected to be lifted Tuesday, September 1. The notice is being issued due to scheduled water testing at the Courthouse by the City of Inverness. Please bring your own potable water in a no-spill container. As an independent constitutional officer, the Clerk helps protect the public's trust by promoting responsible stewardship of county resources.
