Allen County 911 is currently experiencing a phone outage on the non-emergency lines only and is unable to make or receive calls on this line.

You can still text our business line 620-365-1437 as this is a separate service than the phone lines.

911 IS STILL FULLY OPERATIONAL!!!

We have weather moving in.

•If you haven’t signed up for emergency weather alerts through Genasys, please do so here.

•Please remember that 911 is for emergency calls. To report a power outage without an emergency accompanying it, please TEXT 620-365-1437. (Power crews are already monitoring their grids, so give it just a bit if you can!)

•Sirens should not be your only means of receiving weather alerts. Sirens should not be your notification to take cover. Have several means of receiving weather alerts and do what is best for you, do not wait for sirens. (Sirens are to alert those that are outside to go inside and get more information)

•We are here to take your calls, but the ratio of citizens vs dispatchers is approximately 4,000:1 - so please keep that in mind if we are ‘short’ with you - we have a lot of calls to answer and many of them are to simply report a power outage - we don’t know when it will be back on, just that they’re working on it. The influx of non-emergent calls on our emergency lines delays answering what could be an emergency.

We appreciate your help in helping us help you. Stay safe, be weather aware & call us if you need us.

Hey! We know him!! (🎉Congratulations 🎉)

Sworn in last week as The City of Moran mayor, Lee Roberts is one of our beloved retired dispatchers, and he still works with the Moran Marmaton-Osage Volunteer Fire Department. (He and his wife were also the Moran ambulance crew for years on his time off before we changed to the current system).

Check out this week's edition of 'Registered' from the Iola Register, where Lee talks about everything Moran!
