The Ione Library District would like to hire a temporary, fill in librarian. This is an on-call position for when the regular librarians can’t work their normal hours. No number of hours are guaranteed and there are no benefits. The times that might need to be covered are Monday and Wednesday 2-6, and Tuesday and Thursday 10-5. The salary is $15.48 per hour. If you would like to apply please submit a letter of interest to the Ione Library District at 385 W. Second street or mail to POB 125, Ione, OR 97843. Letters must be received by April 14.

If you didn't come to the Puzzle Poloosa last night you missed out on a fun time. 3 teams vied to see who could complete their jigsaw puzzle in 2 hours. The competition was fierce! The winning team placed their final piece in the final seconds. They were highly motivated to collect the grand prize of a chocolate Easter bunny. Teams 2 and 3 finished their puzzles long after the buzzer sounded but prizes were awarded for their efforts, and maybe for sportsmanship. A minimum of piece stealing/hiding/swapping was observered, though it seems that one contestant took a single piece home with them as a souvenir.
