I didn’t get to post yesterday so I am posting today. These people (Mat, Jay, Jason and Joyce) may have not served for our country but they in my eyes have served to help people have a home. If you know my family, we like to provide you a home as if we wouldn’t be ashamed to live in either, if something happened to our own home. Remember when you see us around and you may think we are rich, it’s not that we are rich. We are rich by working hard. So if you see us in a new vehicle, or only working little hours, or when I’m saying I’m retiring at 45 yrs old and that might be only working 20 hrs a week to pay for our health insurance and your still working your butt off at 65 yrs old and working 60-70 hrs a week to make ends meet and you’re jealous don’t be. Because remember this we had a 3 day weekend and what you didn’t see is we weren’t at the beach/lake, out drinking or sitting by a fire-pit relaxing. We were working on a house that we had made perfect for families to live in, but they have chosen not to respect it as we like. So you might not like the price of our rents but that rent reflects of replacing on how we want the house, house payment , insurance and property tax. Thru this process we (mostly I ) have become aware that if you don’t pay your rent on time, keep the house like we provided it to you. We don’t need you as a renter. We might of needed you 5 years ago but today we don’t. We might not like that we have to take the house payment out of our own pocket to keep the house. But what we truly know is the house is in the shape we want it and we don’t have to spend time and money to repair the house. We are not the typical slumlord’s, but I truly know why know-one wants to make a house look pretty. I am one landlord that if I can fix it the day that you call, I will. I don’t wait weeks on end. When you pay your rent on time I as a landlord feel I should fix the problem(s) asap. And if you don’t tell me I can’t fix it. This house we are working on was fixed up a year ago and this round of fixing up I have had to replace the washer and dryer twice due to tenants and kids not treating it with respect, replaced kitchen cabinets and 2 bathroom vanities which had broken drawers and 2 showers due to dying their hair red so it stains it. So remember don’t be jealous. I am the one frustrated as I work a full time job, my husband works part time due to having a surgery and his wife doesn’t want him to go full time to get hurt again, and after he is done working without even asking he drives 1.5 hours each way (working until 7pm or so then driving home) to go work on this house (which I feel guilty because he married into it and I can’t help as much) and we both go on the weekends, this is been month number 2 going on 3 to get this house back to how we like it (oh and don’t forget about the lost rent for the 2-3 months, so I’m making the house payment and repairs out of my own pocket). Please remember when you’re out relaxing and being jealous, remember what I maybe doing if you don’t see me relaxing. An I may forget something as a landlord, so please tenants keep reminding, as these things make me forget and I get so frustrated. I know as a landlord I will be observing things a little different than we use to. As this has cost me over 10k and we still aren’t done. Just remember you may think we are rich, it’s called a work ethic we were brought up with, and there have been times when vacations and relaxation were promised and someone else may have screwed it up, so they can relax instead and the work ethic people had to forget about relaxing and do that person’s job. I really do hope the government doesn’t pass the debt ceiling and people have to suffer, make it where Americans are to get off their butt and work. There is no reason half of this country can’t work to make America Great Again!!!!
