Overdose Awareness Day is an opportunity to remember those lost to overdose, support the family and friends left behind, and help prevent future loss.

Today, Dr. Yvonne DeSloover and staff connected with Veterans at the Iowa City VA Medical Center and Coralville VA Clinic to share information about medication safety, safe medication disposal, and naloxone. Educational resources were also available at the Davenport CRRC.

Thank you to everyone who helped raise awareness and connect Veterans with resources that can save lives.

👃Nasal spray – To administer, lay the person on their back; spray into 1 nostril.
💉 Auto-injectable – To administer, inject into the person’s thigh.
