We are grateful for the work of Johnson County Community Violence Intervention, Moms Demand Action - IA - Johnson County, and our partnership with Be SMART for Kids to support prevention efforts and education.

Beginning June 9, the Treasurer's Office will open at 10 a.m. on the second Tuesday of each month to allow staff to complete monthly training.

Many services, including property tax payments and vehicle registration renewals, are available online 24 hours a day at www.IowaTaxAndTags.org.

Johnson County’s annual tax sale will be at 8 a.m. on Monday, June 15, 2026. Property taxes must be paid in full and received at the Treasurer’s Office by 5 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, to avoid the property being offered at the tax sale.

Weather permitting, Angle Road SW between Highway 1 and Cosgrove Road SW will be closed to through traffic starting Monday, June 08, 2026, for a bridge replacement.

Construction is anticipated to be completed by the end of June 2026.

Your absentee ballot for the June 2, 2026 Primary Election must be returned to our office by 8:00 pm on June 2 to be counted.

Construction on X14/Wapsi Ave SE between Highway 22 and 520th Street will begin Tuesday, June 2.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane during working hours and controlled by flaggers and pilot cars. Both lanes will be open to traffic at night except for unusual circumstances.

Construction is anticipated to be completed by early August 2026.
