Johnson County Alert:

WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM WEDNESDAY TO 3 AM CST THURSDAY
* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 5 and
7 inches.

* WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Illinois, east
central, northeast, and southeast Iowa, and northeast Missouri.

* WHEN...From 6 AM Wednesday to 3 AM CST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. In Iowa, the latest road
conditions are available at ia511.org or by calling 511.

Way to be leaders! Several Teen CERT members are Student Ambassadors! 📚

Regina Jr/Sr High Student Ambassadors were honored at their end of the year celebration lunch yesterday by Mrs. Pam Schowalter, Director of Admissions and Ambassador advisor. This year 74 Student Ambassadors in grades 8 - 12, completed 556 hours of service to Regina, our community, and our parishes. These student leaders help with new student tours, student shadow days, act as greeters at events, assist with Regina Elementary and Regina Early Childhood activities and contribute their time and service to MANY more events. We appreciate these Regal Leaders!

Today we held a certificate ceremony for the Regina Teen CERT students. 16 students completed and passed the FEMA CERT basic training course for the first time while our 3 Senior Team Leads added another 20 plus hours of training this school year.

Congratulations Team and thank you for making a difference at your school and in your communities!

Our Regina Teen CERT program kicked off its third consecutive year earlier this month! We had 16 new students join the team this year along with 3, three-year veterans. Those seniors returned as Team Leaders. These 19 students will complete 20 hours of emergency preparedness training, both classroom and hands-on, participate in a disaster exercise and also receive additional specialized training as the school year goes on.

We are all looking forward to an exciting year of learning!
