The BEST time of year and ultimately the most REWARDING! Every decision we make should always lead back to one thing: STUDENT OUTCOMES. Over the past four days, I’ve had the honor of attending 4 of our 5 Alvin ISD high school graduations, and what an incredible reminder of why this work matters so much.
We celebrated MORE than:🎓 2,200+ Graduates📚 170+ Students earning Dual Degrees🇺🇸 30+ Military Enlistments💰 500+ Scholarship Recipients
To witness the excitement, the tears, the pride from families, educators, and our community was simply priceless. These moments are the result of years of hard work, dedication, sacrifice, and a collective commitment to ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.
As Superintendent Carol Nelson closes an incredible 30-year chapter in education, I want to personally thank her for her leadership, service, and unwavering dedication to Alvin ISD. Her impact on this district will be felt for generations to come. 💐
And now, as the baton is passed to Dr. Rhonda Mason, I am excited and hopeful for the future ahead. Leadership transitions are never easy, and the work to get us to this moment required thoughtful conversations, difficult decisions, collaboration, and a shared vision for the future of Alvin ISD.
One thing remains true: the future is BRIGHT for Alvin ISD because our students, staff, families, and community continue to show up and believe in what’s possible. 💚❤️🧡💙
Congratulations Class of 2026! Your journey is just beginning, and we are all cheering you on every step of the way! ✨
