There’s a lot to celebrate in Alvin ISD! The 2025–26 Accountability Ratings are in, and Alvin ISD earned an overall B rating with a score of 86, continuing our upward momentum from an 84 last year and an 81 in 2023–24.

Across the district, we’re also proud to celebrate 12 A-rated campuses and 19 B-rated campuses!

This year’s theme is WE SEE YOU, and these results give us another reason to recognize the incredible work happening throughout Alvin ISD.

We see and thank our Board of Trustees for their vision, leadership, and continued commitment to creating opportunities for every student to succeed.

We see our students working hard and achieving at high levels. We see our teachers and staff showing up every day with dedication and purpose. We see our families and community supporting our schools and helping our students succeed.

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! 🍎✏️ I’m so excited to navigate another incredible year alongside our students, families, educators, and staff!

I kicked off my morning at Bel Nafegar Sanchez Elementary AISD, and I’m happy to report that I didn’t witness ONE SINGLE TEAR…from the students OR the PARENTS! 🤣🤣🙌🏾 Now THAT is what I call a successful first-day drop-off! 😂💚

Here’s to new beginnings, new friendships, new opportunities, and an AMAZING year ahead! 🎊✨

Although I wasn’t able to attend today’s Alvin ISD Convocation due to a prior work commitment, my heart was certainly with our incredible educators and staff.

Seeing all of the many messages, photos, and videos shared throughout the day has made me smile—and, I’ll admit, a little sad that I missed such a special moment. It is clear that DrRhonda Mason brought incredible energy, vision, and heart as she officially launched her first school year as our superintendent.

To every teacher, administrator, support staff member, and campus leader: thank you for choosing to invest in the lives of our students every single day. Your passion is what makes Alvin ISD such a special place.

Dr. Mason, congratulations on a beautiful beginning to this new chapter. I look forward to partnering with you and my fellow trustees as we continue to put students first and support the amazing people who make this district thrive.

📍First Stop: A awesome Law Enforcement Community Presentation! 🚔 The valuable information, heartfelt personal testimonies, and legal resources shared were truly outstanding. I’m incredibly grateful to the many community partners who came together to make this event possible. This was truly a hidden gem for parents and families seeking knowledge, support, and resources. 💙

📍Second Stop: The Black Chamber Back-to-School Drive! 🎒✏️ It was wonderful to see so many organizations, volunteers, and community members working together to help students start the school year strong. The spirit of collaboration and service was on full display!

Days like today remind me how fortunate we are to live in a community that shows up, serves one another, and invests in the success of our families and students. Here’s to a great school year ahead! 🍎✨

Some people make an impact simply by being who they are, and Maryanne is one of those people. 🧡❤️💙💚

She was the very first face I saw when I picked up my packet to run for the Alvin ISD Board of Trustees. From that very first encounter, she greeted me with kindness, warmth, and a smile that could brighten anyone’s day. Over the past 2½ years, I’ve been blessed to witness firsthand the genuine care she has shown to so many.

This week, we celebrated her well-deserved retirement, and seeing the countless lives she has touched was a beautiful reminder that a life lived in service and kindness leaves an incredible legacy.

Maryanne, thank you for your unwavering dedication, your compassionate spirit, and the joy you’ve shared with everyone fortunate enough to know you. I pray this next chapter is filled with peace, good health, new adventures, and abundant blessings.
