Tonight, I attended the town hall with our new Superintendent, Dr. Rhonda Mason, and left feeling excited about the future of Alvin ISD. Dr. Mason shared her background, vision, and commitment to students, and I was truly inspired by her passion, dedication, and ability to light up a room. ( check out some of the videos below!!)
Alvin ISD is one of the few districts where so much of its funding is invested directly back into our students, schools, and safety. It is clear that Alvin ISD is on a path to becoming one of the best school districts in the region. I'll be sharing the presentation soon so everyone can see the many ways the district is growing and investing in our children's future. Strong schools build strong communities, and I encourage all parents, residents, and community members to stay engaged, support our educators, and take an active interest in both our schools and our city.
I can honestly say that living in Iowa Colony has been an incredible blessing for my family and me. As I've entered public office, built a business here, and become more deeply involved in our community, I've come to appreciate what makes Iowa Colony so special—its people.
We are surrounded by hardworking families, dedicated volunteers, and leaders who strive every day to make a positive impact through hope, discipline, aspiration, and charity.
The future of Iowa Colony is bright, but building that future requires all of us. I encourage residents to get involved, serve on a board or committee, volunteer, attend City Council meetings, and share your talents, expertise, and experiences with this growing city.
Our community needs your voice, your ideas, and your commitment. Together, we can continue building a city that we are proud to call home. ❤️🏡✨
