May training, Tonight we went over field fires. We talked about how to attack, and the game plan. Then we had the opportunity to go over the pickup and see all the different tools and hoses used to fight a field/brush fire. After that we ended the night using the front monitor and tried to knock over the targets.

As always we have plenty of openings for new Junior Firefighters. ages 14-21 (need to be at least going into 9th grade) please reach out with any questions!

Tonight the Junior Firefighters went over positive pressure ventilation with Chief Scott Eisentrager. He also talked about hose loads briefly and gave a few tips to unloading hose. Following that, Captain Adam Johnson showed the Junior's the difference in nozzle patterns and advancement of a charged hoseline.

Junior Firefighters Wanted!!!

If you or someone you know wants to be a junior firefighter please reach out to us!

A junior firefighter is someone who is between the ages of Freshman in high-school up to 21 years old. Junior Firefighters are classified as "scene support" they will support the needs of the firefighters while staying away from all danger.

Applications will be taken on a first come basis, while we have 5 open spots now that can change fast. If you have any other questions please reach out!
