History

The Iowa Falls Chamber of Commerce, Inc. formed a new corporation, Iowa Falls Chamber /Main Street, Inc. on October 1, 1993. The organizations were combined to stimulate economic development in Iowa Falls through organization of leadership in the business community, to promote a positive image for Iowa Falls as an exciting place to live, shop and invest, to provide design assistance to improve the appearance of Iowa Falls and to advance the general welfare and prosperity of the Iowa Falls area so that citizens in all areas of this business community shall prosper. The Iowa Falls Chamber of Commerce/Main Street, Inc. is governed by a nine to twelve-member Board of Directors. Through special events, business building activities, and tourism, Chamber/Main Street contributes to the growth and promotion of Iowa Falls. Our goals and objectives are accomplished through the efforts of numerous volunteers. Chamber/Main Street maintains an active volunteer base. With the coordinated activities of six committees, the Chamber/Main Street provides a full calendar of business, entertainment and tourism activities. We Love Volunteers! Join the Iowa Falls Area Development Corporation and Iowa Falls Chamber Main Street in an engaging "AI Basics for Business" workshop to be held on Wednesday, September 30, from 8:00 - 10:00 am in room 110 of the Ellsworth Community College Agriculture & Renewable Energy Center.

Artificial Intelligence is changing the way organizations communicate, create content, improve productivity, and solve everyday business challenges. This interactive workshop is designed to help business leaders and employees understand AI, use it responsibly, and discover practical applications they can immediately implement in their own organizations.

We are spreading the word about this special fundraising screening, on September 20 at the Met Theater, of "If These Walls Could Rock," co-produced by Iowa Falls alum Chad Gervich. The new rock doc is the story of the Sunset Marquis Hotel in West Hollywood, a secret sanctuary for rock stars for more than 60 years featuring Bruce Springsteen, Dave Grohl, Nancy Wilson, Cyndi Lauper, Slash and so many more. All proceeds from this event, will go to the IFAHS Band and Chorus Programs.
