Congratulations to Timothy Fitzpatrick for being promoted to Deputy Division Director of the Classification and Inmate Transportation Division! His TDCJ career began in 2005 and includes roles from Correctional Officer to Senior Warden. 🌟

He's built a legacy receiving the Governors Administrator of the Year Award and serving on statewide professional boards. Now he's excited to support staff, modernize processes, and strengthen efforts to humanize corrections while protecting Texans. 📈🛡️

We want to give a big shout out to Officer Alan Patterson and the 10-20 crew at the James V. Allred Unit. Alan has been with TDCJ since 2013 and has worked in Segregation, ECB, and the Grievance Department, gaining valuable experience along the way.
For more than six years, Alan and his crew of inmate workers have played a major role in keeping the unit running. With support from Officer Medlinger, Officer Klusmeyer, and the Maintenance Department, they work hard every day to keep the facility in proper working order.
Their work may be behind the scenes, but it keeps everything moving. Alan’s dedication and pride in his job truly show.

🎓 Windham School District Graduation – James V. Allred Unit 🎓

Today we had the privilege of witnessing an incredible moment of achievement at the James V. Allred Unit. Dozens of incarcerated students proudly earned their High School Equivalency certificates, Career & Technical Education completions, and Apprenticeship recognitions through the Windham School District.
These graduates put in countless hours of hard work and showed real commitment to bettering themselves and building a stronger future. Education is a powerful tool for change, and every student who crossed the stage today took an important step toward positive growth and opportunity.
A sincere thank you to the Windham School District staff, instructors, and everyone who supports these programs. Your dedication makes days like this possible.
Congratulations to all the graduates, your perseverance is inspiring, and today’s accomplishments are something to be proud of.

📢 It’s time to start your new career! Workforce Solutions North Texas is hosting a hiring event with the Allred Unit on Tuesday, May 26.

Join us at entrance 5 of the Galaxy Center from 10AM to 3PM at 4309 Old Jacksboro Hwy, Wichita Falls, Texas 76302.

Full-time and part-time correctional officer positions are available, along with paid training and full healthcare and retirement benefits. Applicants must bring a valid driver’s license, social security card, and proof of education.

Stop the Drug Summit James V. Allred Unit 2026

Today’s Stop the Drug Summit at the James V. Allred Unit was a powerful reminder of what can happen when dedication, collaboration, and hope come together.
The ceremony featured an inspiring lineup of speakers, music, testimonies, and words of encouragement. From the opening song to the closing prayer, every part of the program reflected a shared commitment to change, recovery, and building a stronger, healthier community inside the unit.
A special thank you to everyone who contributed leadership, chaplaincy, program directors, life coaches, speakers, and musicians. Each voice added strength to the message that transformation is possible, and no one has to walk that road alone.
Events like this make a real difference, and I’m proud to see the ongoing support and dedication from everyone involved.
