Greetings everyone, it has been awhile in the making to get this far. We have been given approval to set a date for our groundbreaking ceremony. It will be sometime in July this year 2026. The contract has been signed on our end. Once TDCJ has their last person to sign we may begin construction and that could be any day now.
In the meantime we are still getting bids.
You can still be a part and help us cross the finish line by giving to the
Allred-Chapel-Project.

1. The Allred Unit needs a chapel—a place of hope where 4,000+ men can find faith, healing, and life-skills to prepare for a better future. We’ve raised over 80% of the funds to break ground, but we need your help to finish.
Every dollar goes directly to construction. When you give, you don’t just build a chapel—you change lives, families, and communities.

2. 🚨 We’re almost there! 🚨
The Allred Chapel Project is 80% funded—but we can’t finish without you.
This chapel will give 3,700 men a place to find hope, faith, recovery, and the skills to rebuild their lives. 💡
Every dollar goes straight to construction. No overhead. No salaries. Just impact.
❤️ Change hearts. Change futures. Change generations.
👉 Donate today and help us cross the finish line!
3. Help Transform Lives at the Allred Unit
The men at the James V. Allred Unit are waiting for a place of hope—a chapel where they can grow, heal, and prepare for a better future. For many, this will be the first air-conditioned building dedicated to rehabilitation and faith. Inside, lives defined by failure can be reshaped through life-skills training, recovery programs, Bible studies, conflict resolution classes, and family restoration events.
Across prisons, the chapel becomes a beacon—a place where men lay down their fight with the system and choose lasting change. At Allred, space is severely limited: one small classroom serves a unit of 3,700 men, and church services in a sweltering gym turn many away. The need is urgent.
The state will not fund this project, but they will allow us to. That’s why, since 2020, volunteers have been raising the one million dollars required to build the chapel. As of July 2025, we have raised more than $879,000—over 80% of what’s needed to break ground. Every dollar goes directly to construction; volunteers cover their own expenses.
Now, we are asking you to help us finish what we started. With your support, we can create a place where inmates learn to change their lives, restore broken families, and return to their communities with hope and purpose.
When you give, you don’t just build a chapel—you build futures. You change hearts, families, and generations.
Will you help us cross the finish line and make this vision a reality?

Greetings everyone, I thought I would post our minutes from our Allred Chapel Project advisory meeting last week.
Please share with your friends and help us raise the additional funds needed to help get the Chapel at Allred Prison build.

We are registered with Texoma Gives again this year. Hoegger communication has been given the Allred Chapel Project link to help get the word out. I will also be sending it out to everyone else that can help us get the word out. The link is:

• After TDCJ received a response from our architects to their previous questions, they responded with additional questions about the plans on July 12th, 2025. On August 13, 2025 TDCJ responded with a few more questions about the electrical on the plans. The questions were forwarded to SLA Architects on August 13, 2025. Charles spoke with Devon with SLA Architects and was told that the engineers would have it completed shortly.
• Charles spoke with a liaison with the Polunsky Prison Chapel Project. He let Charles know that after they had broken ground, they were ordered to stop because they had not gone through the Unit’s facility department. Charles has contacted TDCJ officials to prevent having the same problem.
• We were not selected as a nominee from the Impact100 committee.
• Charles and Gloria took a trip to the Mark Stiles Unit in Beaumont Texas. They took pictures of their Chapel location, fence, electrical etc, and sent them to the Allred Wardens.
• August 6, 2025 Charles and two other CVCA’s Charles Berry and Eddie Peacemaker went to the First Baptist Church in Mansfield, Texas and picked up 536 chairs and 24 tables and 3 racks that were donated for the Allred Chapel. They have been delivered to the Allred Unit for storage.
• The application for a grant from First Presbyterian Church Foundation has been submitted.
• Contractors are waiting on us for our plans to be approved from TDCJ.
• Thing to have for next meeting. The plan for getting the dirt work ready for the concrete, three concrete bids, three bids for the plumbing work, updated bids for the building, having a meeting with multiple contractors.
• Next meeting will be September 17, 2025.

The inmates at the James V. Allred Unit are looking forward to the construction of a new Chapel. They will finally have an air-conditioned building designated for rehabilitative classes and religious services, where men whose lives have been defined by failure can learn t...

Greetings everyone, a quick update on the Allred Chapel Project. After submitting the chapel plans to TDCJ, they sent us back some questions that we had to get answers to. The questions have all been answered and sent back to TDCJ. Once TDCJ has approved the plans we will schedule a ground breaking ceremony.
We have also been getting some bids in from contractors.
While waiting on all of this we continue to reach out to folks to help raise additional funds needed to complete the chapel.
