Farming is one of the most stressful occupations. Driven by unpredictable weather, volatile markets, and isolation, farmers face rates of depression, anxiety, and su***de that are disproportionately higher than the national average. Addressing this crisis requires tailored mental health resources and breaking deep-seated cultural stigmas.

Free counseling and stress management support are available to Texas agricultural producers and their families through FarmHope.

New World screwworm is NOT a food safety issue.

It is, however, a serious animal health threat that requires vigilance. Check livestock and wildlife regularly, monitor wounds closely and report suspicious cases immediately.

Ranchers are our first line of defense. Early detection and rapid response are critical.
