Jeff Davis 3 Fire like to sincerely thank Acadian Ambulance for their priceless donation of a new AED (automated external defibrillator.) This AED is now in service, running on a truck, in and for our community along with the 8 other AED’s we recently purchased. AED’s greatly increase a patient’s survival rate during a cardiac event.

Agencies working together to better serve the community is the groundwork of emergency response. We are confident this partnership will serve the entire community for years to come. We are so grateful to their dedication to providing up to date training and much needed supplies that enhance our range of pre-hospital treatment.

Jeff Davis Fire District 3 would like to congratulate 6 of our firefighters. They completed the fire academy and are now fully certified ! They attended an 8 month academy in which they earned Hazmat Awareness, Hazmat Ops. , Firefighter 1 and Firefighter 2 certifications. This is the first time Jeff Davis Fire District 3 has sent firefighters to a training academy and we had a 100% pass rate.. We are setting new standards for our department and providing better service to our community than ever before.. We will continue to get better in the years to come…

WAY TO GO CHIEF!!
The firefighters wanted to recognize our fire chief, Brent Sarvaunt, for a second!! He just completed his EMT state training course and passed his national registry test! Brent said he hopes to serve his community well with this knowledge and skill.

Brent has been dedicated to Dist 3 for many years and has helped our department grow in bounds, better serving the community in return. He works full time as a district chief in Lake Charles. We thank him and we know our community does too, so from us all … a big congratulations chief.

Introducing new battery-powered ventilation fans that will replace outdated gas-powered models on our service and rescue units, enhancing efficiency for our community.

Our Lacassine station is now outfitted with state-of-the-art rescue tools, primarily designed for efficient vehicle extraction. These advanced tools allow firefighters to initiate rescue operations promptly, leveraging their faster setup times versus gas-powered alternatives. Prospective members can join our training sessions held Monday nights, and we invite interested parties to join our ranks.

New battery powered tools !!! These will be replacing the 20 year plus old gas saws. They will be going on our service/rescue units. As we move forward we are always looking for ways to be better and more efficient for the community we are dedicated to serving!!!
