Thanks to the generosity of Kinship Farm, Three Sisters, and local donors, we now have a limited supply of free soup shares from Three Sisters available at the Ipswich Council on Aging (COA).

Ipswich residents aged 60 and older are welcome to access the Community Cupboard at no cost. Participants may receive one soup share per week while supplies last.

The Community Cupboard is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 1:00–2:00 p.m. If you are unable to visit the Cupboard in person, groceries can also be delivered to your home.

Please call the Ipswich COA if you have any questions or would like to arrange a delivery. (978-356-6650).

With the hot weather sticking around, the Town of Ipswich is opening cooling centers at Town Hall!

❄️ Town Hall is OPEN for anyone looking to cool off:
📅 Wednesday, July 1: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
📅 Thursday, July 2: 8:00 AM – 12:00 Noon

🌬️ Cooling Center Hours
📅 Friday, July 3: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
📅 Saturday, July 4: 8:00 AM – 12:00 Noon

📍 Location: Council on Aging (COA) Lounge at Town Hall
➡️ Please use the COA entrance on the back side of Town Hall (handicap accessible). On July 3 and July 4, this will be the only area of Town Hall open to the public.

Just in! We received a food donation Cuvilly and Kinship Farms!!!!!! We had a lot of fresh produce and farm fresh eggs. Community Cupboard opens at 1!!! See you there!

Last week we lost one of our own, we lost former outreach employee Beth Wright.

It is with great sadness that we write this tribute to Beth Wright. Beth was the best of all of us. Her compassion, understanding, strength, humor and grace under pressure were unparalleled. For those of you who were fortunate to know her, you know what we are talking about. If you did not have the chance to meet her in person, know that her spirit lives on in the lives of the staff who had the privilege to work with Beth and learn from her. We often joked that some days we only had one brain combined. Those were the tough days when her heart kicked in and sustained all of us.
These are some of the lessons that we have learned from Beth:

Let us take no day for granted; Let us take no one for granted;
Live your life with no regrets; Love what matters
Life is full of special moments and opportunities. Let us forever be grateful.

Beth’s favorite quote was: "We're all just walking each other home." ~ Ram Dass We are all on this earth for only a short time. Let us honor Beth’s memory and walk with each other in our sorrow and joy. Remember that we have always been “Better Together.”
