🇺🇸 The Field of Flags will stand for only a few more hours today.

Each flag placed carries a name… a story… a sacrifice.
They fly with purpose. They fly in honor. ❤️

Take a moment today to remember that freedom was never free. Brave men and women answered the call, stood for our country, and gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy every day.

Today we remember.
Tomorrow, we do not forget.

From all of us at the Iredell Volunteer Fire Department, THANK YOU to those who served and especially to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. 🇺🇸🚒

Field of Flags will continue as scheduled. We will be setting up at 8am, near the baseball fields for all still helping.

Please keep this family in prayer. One of our local hero’s. This is a great loss. We are so grateful for both of their services.
Please keep their family and law enforcement family in your prayers.

Make sure you have a way to stay aware of the weather coming tomorrow (Mothers Day Sunday). Our area looks to be in the “Danger Zone”

Good morning, Bosque County,

From our friends at the US National Weather Service Fort Worth Texas

💐 Mother’s Day Weather Heads-Up for Bosque County 💐

As families make plans for Mother’s Day tomorrow, I wanted to give everyone an early weather update so you can plan ahead.

A cold front is expected to move through
North and Central Texas Sunday afternoon and evening, bringing a chance for scattered to numerous thunderstorms across the area. Storms may begin developing Sunday morning, but the stronger storms are expected later in the afternoon and evening hours.

Potential hazards could include:
⛈️ Large hail (possibly larger than golf balls)
💨 Damaging wind gusts over 70 mph
🌧️ Heavy rainfall that could cause localized flooding in some areas

Not everyone will see severe weather, but conditions could change quickly if storms develop. If you have outdoor Mother’s Day plans, it would be a good idea to keep an eye on the forecast and have a way to receive weather alerts tomorrow.

I will continue sharing updates from our friends at the National Weather Service as more information becomes available. I hope everyone has a safe and blessed Mother’s Day weekend! 💙
