As we get ready to introduce our new rescue pumper as 610 tomorrow night, we want to recognize the little truck that carried that number before it. đźš’

This small brush truck served as our rescue truck, responding to countless scenes stocked and ready with the equipment we needed. It has served IVFD and our community well!

Although it will no longer carry our equipment, its service to Bosque County continues—just one jurisdiction over.

Congratulations, Walnut Springs Volunteer Fire Department! We’re glad to see this truck begin its next chapter with our neighbors. ❤️

We are ready to get her into service, but we cherish each and EVERY ONE of you, and are so GRATEFUL for your support, we couldn’t imagine pushing it into service without you. Please come and be a part of our Push-In Ceremony next Wednesday September 2nd @ 7pm!

Bosque County residents may notice smoke or a smoky haze in the air this afternoon. The smoke is coming into our area from a fire in Palo Pinto County and may be visible or noticeable across portions of Bosque County.

At this time, the smoke you are seeing does NOT necessarily mean there is a fire in Bosque County. Wind conditions can carry smoke a significant distance from an active fire.

đźš’ Our local first responders and emergency management will continue to stay aware of conditions in our area.

Please remember: If you see an actual fire, flames, or a distinct column of smoke nearby, do not assume it is related to the Palo Pinto County fire, report it to 911.

With our current dry conditions, we appreciate everyone remaining cautious and helping us keep Bosque County safe.
