Call for Nominations: Honor a Local Hero! 🇺🇸

Do you know a veteran who continues to lead with a heart for service right here in our community? The Town of Irmo wants to recognize the brave men and women who have transitioned from serving our country to strengthening our town.

We are looking for nominees to be honored for their dedication, sacrifice, and ongoing commitment to the Irmo community.

Selected veterans will be invited to a Town Council Meeting to be publicly acknowledged for their service. As a symbol of our gratitude and respect, these individuals will also have the distinct honor of leading the Mayor, Council, and community in the Pledge of Allegiance.

🏀 Game on, Irmo! 🏀

We are excited to announce that the new full-court basketball court at Rawls Creek Park (1113 Friarsgate Blvd) is officially OPEN and ready for action!

Whether you’re looking to practice your free throws, start a pickup game with neighbors, or just get some outdoor exercise, the court is waiting for you. It’s time to lace up your sneakers and get your b-ball game ready! 👟✨

A huge thank you to the Irmo Town Council for their vision and support of our parks, and to Virtus Construction for their hard work in bringing this project to life. We can’t wait to see the community enjoying this new space.

The Boardr Skatepark event presented by Palmetto Citizens Federal Credit Union and the Town of Irmo at Rawls Creek Park on Saturday did not disappoint! 👏

Seeing our community come together to celebrate skateboarders from all over the country put Irmo on the map - some local skateboarders took home winning prizes, too!

📣 Shout out to the Irmo Public Works crew, Irmo Police Department and their Explorers, Bluetile Skateshop, Grindhouse Skate Co, Kona Ice of Irmo / Chapin, Kusina Filipina, Cox Family BBQ, CC&I Services, Marie Ryan from the Irmo Events committee, and many more for your support! Our community came together and made this a great day!

Irmo is proud to support those who supported our students! 🍎

Last week, the Town of Irmo was a proud sponsor of a special event at Seven Oaks Park. We joined the District 5 Foundation for District 5 of Lexington and Richland Counties as they hosted over 200 School District Five retirees for a celebratory lunch!

From teachers to bus drivers and every role in between, these individuals dedicated their careers to our community's future. The room was buzzing with reunions, laughter, and decades of shared memories.

It was a great day on the course, but more importantly, it was a celebration of the vital relationship between the Town and our Chamber.
