Lexington Man Arrested on Child Sexual Abuse Material* Charge

(COLUMBIA, S.C.) South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of Hunter Scott Duncan, (age 31) of Lexington, S.C., on one charge connected to the s*xual exploitation of minors. Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators with the Lexington County Sheriff's Department made the arrest. Investigators with the Attorney General's Office, also a member of the state's ICAC Task Force, assisted with the investigation.

Investigators received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) which led them to Duncan. Investigators state Duncan possessed files of child s*xual abuse material.

Duncan was arrested on August 20, 2026. He is charged with one count of s*xual exploitation of a minor, third degree (§16-15-410), a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment.

This case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General's Office.

Attorney General Wilson stressed all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.

* Child s*xual abuse material, or CSAM, is a more accurate reflection of the material involved in these heinous and abusive crimes. "Po*******hy" can imply the child was a consenting participant. Globally, the term child po*******hy is being replaced by CSAM for this reason.

🎤💙 Education is a powerful tool in the fight against human trafficking!

This month, our speaker, Tricia Kling, had the opportunity to lead three trainings for Lex/Rich District 5’s Professional Development Day for support staff! 📚✨

Through these trainings, Tricia helped equip staff with a greater understanding of human trafficking—including how to recognize potential signs and red flags 🚩, how to respond appropriately, and what each of us can do to help protect and support those who may be vulnerable. 🤝💛

We’re so grateful for opportunities like these to bring awareness and practical education into our communities. The more people who know what to look for and how to respond, the stronger our community becomes in the fight against human trafficking. 🕯️💪

A huge thank you to Lex/Rich District 5 for making this important conversation part of your professional development—and to Tricia for continuing to share the mission of Lighthouse for Life and equip others to make a difference! 👏💙

Awareness leads to action, and action can change lives. ✨

✨ Last week, we were honored and excited to spend time with the First Pres Women’s Circle at the SC State Fairgrounds, sharing about the ministry and mission of Lighthouse for Life! 💙🏠

It’s always such a gift to have opportunities to share our heart for survivors, raise awareness, and connect with others who care deeply about bringing hope and freedom to our community. 💛🙏

A special shoutout to Nancy Smith, General Manager of the SC State Fair, who did an incredible job hosting us! 🎡👏 Nancy is also part of this wonderful Women’s Circle, and we’re so grateful for her warm hospitality and heart for bringing people together. 💕

And what a fun setting to gather as the SC State Fair prepares for this year’s theme—“250”—celebrating America! 🇺🇸🎆🎡

Thank you, First Pres Women’s Circle, for welcoming Lighthouse for Life and giving us the opportunity to share about the work God is doing through this ministry. We are grateful for every chance to spread awareness, build relationships, and invite others to be part of bringing light into dark places. 🕯️💙✨

🎉💛 Last week, we had the beautiful opportunity to celebrate another one of our survivors with a birthday party! 🎂🎈

What may seem like a simple celebration meant so much more. She was overcome with gratitude as she experienced the love, care, and joy poured out over her. 🥹💕 It was a powerful reminder of how meaningful it is to be seen, valued, and celebrated.

Every survivor deserves moments like these—moments filled with laughter, belonging, hope, and the reminder that their life is worth celebrating. ✨🌷

We are so grateful to everyone who helps make these special moments possible. Together, we get to create new memories filled with love and joy. 💕🎁🎉

Happy birthday to one very special survivor! 🥳🎂 May this next year be filled with hope, healing, and many more reasons to celebrate! 💛
