Snow Removal/Plowing Update:

Lantz Road was plowed through on Friday, March 20th

Norway Truck Trail has been plowed through as of Monday, March 23rd

Lyons Lake Road has been plowed through as of Monday, March 23rd

Camp 9 Road will be plowed today, Tuesday, March 24th, pending no unforeseen breakdowns/unexpected issues

Any remaining gravel roads will likely not be plowed after today, due to warming temperatures and the higher potential for damage to the roads in attempting to plow them.

Please note that the roads listed are not plowed to normal width in places and there will likely be areas where two-way traffic may have to back up to a wider area when meeting another vehicle.

Public Service Announcement:

A portion of the Lyons Lake Road approximately 0.4 mile East of Calumet Mine Road is not opened up to through traffic due to extreme drifting across an open field area. We have been opening the gravel roads for full-time residents as a first priority. Due to Seasonal Road Restrictions in place and the current forecast, we may not be able to access this portion of the roadway to plow through, so it may be impassable until the snow melts down.

Public Service Announcement - Dickinson County Road Commission

The Dickinson County Road Commission is requesting that all motorists refrain from travel unless it is an absolute emergency due to current winter weather conditions.

An excessive number of vehicles are becoming stuck in roadways, which creates serious hazards and significantly slows snow removal operations. Our crews cannot safely and effectively clear the roads when vehicles are stranded or blocking travel lanes.

Please stay off the roads and allow road crews the time and space needed to clear snow and restore safe driving conditions.

Your cooperation helps keep both the public and our road crews safe.

Thank your for your understanding and patience
