⚠️ WEATHER ALERT: TROPICAL STORM ISAIAS ⚠️

Jefferson County EMA is monitoring Tropical Storm Isaias, which is forecast to strengthen into a hurricane. Although the exact track and intensity may change, Jefferson County and Central Alabama could experience heavy rainfall, localized flooding, damaging wind gusts, scattered power outages, and possibly tornadoes Friday into Saturday.

Tropical-storm-force winds could arrive as early as midday Friday, with impacts most likely Friday evening and overnight.

Residents are encouraged to:

• Monitor trusted local weather sources
• Charge phones and prepare for possible power outages
• Secure outdoor furniture and loose objects
• Never drive through flooded roadways
• Check on family members, neighbors, older adults, and anyone who may need assistance

🚔 Passing the Keys, Sharing the Blessing! 💙

Mayor of Irondale James D. Stewart, Jr. was proud to present one of the City of Irondale’s retired police vehicles to Graysville Mayor Julio Davis!

We’re proud to see this vehicle continue its service in a neighboring community and grateful for opportunities to support our fellow municipalities. 🤝 That’s how we do it in the Dale!

🎯 Today’s First Responders Co****le Tournament was a huge success, raising approximately $11,000 to support Children’s of Alabama’s Spina Bifida Camp and programming! 💙

This year’s tournament was a true collaboration between Irondale and Trussville first responders. A BIG shoutout to Irondale Police Department Sgt. Logan Schell and Trussville Police Department Cpl. James McCool for their hard work planning and executing the event, and thank you to everyone who played, volunteered, sponsored, donated, and came out to support!

A special thank you to Peak Season for generously donating a patio set valued at approximately $3,000 for the winner of our Long Toss Competition! 👏

And as for that friendly rivalry between Mayor James D. Stewart, Jr. and Trussville Mayor Ben Short… Irondale raised more than $7,000 — more than DOUBLE Trussville’s total — so we’re officially claiming the win! 🏆😉

🎯 THIS SATURDAY! The 6th Annual Irondale & Trussville First Responders Co****le Tournament is happening August 29, at the Trussville Civic Center!

🚔🚒 First responders, community members AND adaptive athletes are invited to compete — all while supporting Children’s of Alabama Spina Bifida programs.

⏰ Registration: 9:00 a.m. | Play: 10:00 a.m.
💲 Team Registration: $50
🏆 Divisions: First Responders, Open Division & Adaptive Athletes

Congratulations to Officer Tyler Boatwright!

The Irondale Police Department proudly congratulates Officer Tyler Boatwright on successfully completing the 14-week APOSTC Tuscaloosa Law Enforcement Academy.

Officer Boatwright has worked hard to reach this important milestone and is now ready to take the next step in his law enforcement career. He will begin 12 weeks of Field Training with the Irondale Police Department, where he will continue developing the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to serve our community with professionalism and dedication.

Please join us in congratulating Officer Boatwright on this accomplishment and welcoming him to the Irondale Police Department family. We are proud to have him serving alongside us and look forward to watching him grow throughout his career.
