That’s a wrap! We ended the week with a friendly 3D shoot to put the whole week together. Ryan was the big winner and took home the donated bow. The progress everyone made was incredible and everyone is now certified to get their hunting license! Such a great opportunity to get kids outside and exposed to an activity they might never have a chance to participate in. Can’t wait for next year!

Day 2-4 have been busy. Everyone passed their hunter safety and bow hunting safety certifications! Bob Yax and his deer tracking dog Iris made a guest appearance. The DEC came to talk about their role in conservation. Venison hot dogs and elk burgers provided the energy to get familiar with a bow and hit the range. A friendly competition of archery tic tac toe made for fun times. Tomorrow is the competition to see who wins the bow that was donated! A great week so far!

Day 1 of our inaugural Youth Archery & Conservation Academy is in the books! Classroom for hunter safety in the morning and a tour of Lifetime Impressions Taxidermy in the afternoon. A huge thank you to the owner, Jim Cortville, for donating a bow. One lucky camper will be taking it home on Friday!

Always a great night!

Strong partnerships build safer communities. Had a blast with Irondequoit Rotary at National Night Out. Thank you to Town of Irondequoit, Irondequoit Police Department, first responders, and local orgs for bringing Irondequoit together!

Another National Night Out success! Dunk tanks, scuba demos, bike give-aways, food, music, and great conversations. It was a perfect night for us to get together with our residents. Thank you to all our local businesses that participated and made the night so special…especially ADT Smart Alarms for their generous donation. Can’t wait to do it again next year!

🚨Tonight is National Night Out! Come visit with the IPD and other public servants, in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. There will be K9’s, ATV’s, scuba and the Dunk Tank returns! Come test your arm and see if you can dunk a police officer👮‍♀️ We will also be raffling off 2 new bikes! $1 per ticket. Bikes will be raffled off at 7:30. Lastly, Wegmans will be providing hot dogs and ice cream. See you there! 🚨
