We raised more than $1️⃣3️⃣,0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ that will go toward grants to support the West Irondequoit CSD. Special thanks also to the Town of Irondequoit Community Center and Recreation Dept. staff for helping us host the event in their wonderful facility! Congratulations to the “Jamie Cook is My Grandpa” team that beat the Italian Stallions in the championship match. Third place went to Baggin’ & Braggin.

THANK YOU ALUMS! Thanks to all who came to O’Loughlins to have fun on Saturday, Nov. 29th and to the local businesses who sponsored the event and anyone who donated to support the 2nd annual Irondequoit HS All-Alumni Fundraiser. The all-class “reunion” raises money for the “Generations of Excellence Scholarships” given annually to IHS students by the West Irondequoit Alumni Association. Recipients must have parents or grandparents who also graduated from IHS. Last year’s event raised enough money for donation 10 students to each receive a $1,000 scholarship! Our 2025-26 grants have been revealed. Thank you to our community for supporting us so we can support the students and district!

The West Irondequoit Foundation, a non-profit that benefits the West Irondequoit schools, has announced six grants it will fund for the 2025-26 school year. Grants must be initiated by district teachers and staff; applications are voted on by the Foundation Board of Directors. This year’s grant total of $50,094 boosts the amount awarded to the district since 1990 to $1,150,738.

Established in 1987 to receive gifts/donations to enhance educational opportunities, the WIF raises money to underwrite grants for innovative projects, equipment and programs. It does so via an annual fundraising campaign, fundraising events such as a Co****le Tournament, gifts, donations and more.

Its next event, done in conjunction with the West Irondequoit Alumni Association, is the 2nd annual All-Alumni Reunion Fundraiser at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025 at Silk O’Loughlin’s, 5980 St. Paul Blvd. For tickets ($25) or sponsorship opportunities (starting at $250), click this link. There will be live music, alumni merchandise, pizza, wings and a 50/50 raffle. Graduates from all classes are invited! The Foundation’s next Co****le Tournament is Friday, March 13th, 2026.

In conjunction with the West Irondequoit Alumni Association, it's the 2nd annual ALL-ALUMNI REUNION FUNDRAISER at O'Loughlins to benefit scholarships for Irondequoit High School students! Stop by the West Irondequoit Foundation display at Open Houses/Curriculum Nights this week to learn more about how it has supported our schools for nearly 40 years! The Foundation receives gifts and donations in order to provide funding to enhance the educational programs of the WICSD. It raises moneyto underwrite staff-initiated grants for projects, equipment and programs. Through a strong annual campaign and a variety of fundraising activities, the WIF has granted more than $1.1 million to the WICSD since it first awarded grants in 1990.
