We were so happy to be joined by Gavin & Isaac yesterday! Their project and their desire to make an impact on our community is an inspiration!

We are so proud of Gavin Wissman & Isaac Phillips for bringing NATIONAL awareness to food insecurity in our community & Backpack Buddies! They placed 4th Nationally!! Today they were recognized at the Lawrence County Commissioners meeting.

Accidental 911 calls happen all of the time, especially with kids. Please, don't hang up! Let the dispatcher know it was an accident and everything is OK. This prevents us from tying up valuable resources that could be needed for an actual emergency.

If you have been to our shelter you would agree
That while visiting the dogs the sound decibels become overwhelming when the barks get rolling

We have had an architect run test
And the sound decibels have actually become deafening. This is obviously not ideal and we would like to begin the process of addressing it.

We strive to provide a comfortable environment for our residents and that is why this is a top priority for us!

Today we’re looking for community partners that may want to get involved with this process.
Sourcing and Installing sound absorbing panels

Please tag any company that you know that may be able to assist us in this project

We’re collecting estimates
And will begin to Fundraise for this Project soon!

Yesterday, Jim Accurso, Public Affairs Specialist attended our meeting to discuss Disaster Assistance to Businesses and Residents. The Disaster Loan Outreach Center at the Boyd County Emergency Operations Center is available to answer any questions you may have.
