So, what is Hepatitis? In short, it's inflammation of the liver, and it's often caused by a virus. There are three types of hepatitis in the U.S.: A, B, and C.

Hepatitis symptoms can often go unnoticed, even for weeks, months, or decades.

It's crucial to get vaccinated against Hepatitis A and B (there is no available vaccine for Hepatitis C). Learn more at https://www.cdc.gov/hepatitis/abc/index.htm.

In 2021, 29 children drowned in Missouri. Of the 29 children who drowned, 13 were age 4 or younger, four were 5-9 years old, seven were 10-14, and five were ages 15-17.

Always make sure that a responsible, attentive adult is ACTIVELY monitoring child who are playing in or near water. Drowning is silent, so being present isn’t enough. Be AWARE.
