Due to a printing error, the HB 186 Inflation Cap Credit was not printed on the 2nd half tax bills that were recently mailed.

The credit has been applied and the 2nd half property tax amount is correct as shown on your tax bill.

The Inflation Cap Credit is listed correctly on the Treasurer’s website.

Tax billing update

Due to property values not yet being approved by the Ohio Department of Taxation, the mailing of 1st half property tax bills will be delayed.

The Ohio Department of Taxation has issued an order of values to the Lawrence County Auditor in certain taxing districts within the county, which has prevented tax bills from being finalized and mailed.

Be assured that tax bill due dates will be adjusted based on when bills are ultimately mailed.

Updates will be shared as more information becomes available.
