Together in partnership with the Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee, we are hosting the Field of Valor — America 250 event from July 1–31 at the Irvine Civic Center Lawn.

Each American Flag displayed across the lawn is sponsored in honor or in memory of a veteran or active-duty service member.

Community members are invited to submit a sponsorship request by Friday, June 19, and we encourage all in our community to visit the flag display throughout July in honor of those who have served our country.

Visit cityofirvine.gov/fieldofvalor to learn more or sponsor a flag.

Today, we celebrate Flag Day, commemorating the adoption of the United States flag in 1777.

As part of our 100 Flags Program, American flags were installed at 128 pole locations throughout Irvine last month. You may have seen them displayed along major corridors and in public spaces.

We are proud to display these flags as a symbol of civic pride and a tribute to those who have served our nation.

Earlier this week, we honored 52 community members, organizations, and businesses that have made significant contributions to our community.

Their names have been added to the Wall of Recognition at Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park, and they were presented with plaques during a ceremony with City Councilmembers, family, and friends.

We are grateful for all they have done for our community, and we’re proud to honor their legacy.

Thank you to everyone who joined us last month for the fifth annual Pride in Irvine event, held on Harvey Milk Day. It was a wonderful celebration, featuring the raising of the Progress Flag — a powerful symbol of inclusion and unity that will fly at the Irvine Civic Center throughout June.

We are proud to celebrate Pride Month, which honors the LGBTQIA+ community and recognizes the importance of inclusion, visibility, and belonging.

Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈

Fans packed the Great Park Championship Soccer Stadium today for the only public opportunity to watch the team train. We are proud to be part of the team's journey, and we'll be cheering them on every step of the way!
