The 2026 Meet the Irvine Candidates Forum is in the books! Irvine Watchdog was happy to have Norberto Santana, Jr., from the Voice of OC, as this year’s moderator! Local elections matter! Happy to work to not only strengthen our local democracy, but to inform and empower residents, and create spaces for civic engagement. Now let’s get out and vote! 🗳️

Thank you to Susan Sayre and Regents Point for organizing an informative night! Sue Campbell from the League of Women Voters presented on all the California Propositions and I was invited to present on Irvine’s Measure D! 🙌

⏰ Just 2️⃣0️⃣ days until the Nov 3rd election! 🗳️

After the event, somebody came up to me and said, “why don’t we have ranked choice voting nationwide? It makes so much sense!” Well, that’s how we at Voter Choice Irvine feel and are working to bring it to Irvine first because meaningful changes always start at home! 🏠💕

Ballots have been delivered! 🗳️ Let’s GOTV Irvine! 💪 Only 24 days until the November 3 election! Yes on Measure D for Ranked Choice Voting! It’s as easy as 1️⃣ 2️⃣ 3️⃣!

This birthday will be one to remember -- I got to vote 𝐘𝐄𝐒 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐃 to bring Ranked Choice Voting to Irvine! 🥳

- No more worrying about vote spliting!
- No more having to choose the 'lesser of two evils'
- No more wasted ballots!
- And guarantees MAJORITY RULE!

Ranked choice voting is the fastest growing nonpartian election reform in the country with only 10 cities using it in 2016 and now 50 cities, counties, and states empowering voters across the US. It's a simple, proven way to vote!

Let's do this, Irvine! ✅ 𝐕𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐘𝐄𝐒 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐃 (it's the last item on the ballot).

The Voter Choice Irvine campaign kickoff showed exactly what democracy in action looks like. 💪 Community power is what it’s about. Together we can do so much good. Let’s get out there and let everyone know about this opportunity to bring fairer elections to Irvine! Vote YES on Measure D (for democracy) this November! 🎉

Thank you to the Iranian American Democrats of California for inviting me and Ryan Dack to present on the Voter Choice Irvine, Yes on Measure D campaign! 💜Majority rule matters and ranked choice voting will ensure that our electeds win with a majority of the vote every time! 🗳️

And great seeing a former fellow National Women's Political Caucus - OC board member, Faye Hezar! We served together for years with NWPCOC! 💪

💜 Thank you to Councilmembers Kathleen K Treseder, Betty Martinez Franco, Melinda Liu, and William Go, for moving Irvine one step closer to implementing ranked choice voting! 🙌 And thank you to all those in our community who submitted public comments online or in-person to support! 👏

Great to work alongside California RCV Coalition and Democrats of Greater Irvine on this issue! 🎉 Let’s continue to work to make our elections one where majority rules, not a plurality. 🗳️
